Mr. Jeffrey Sturgeon
The weekend was spent in Hastings, where we especially enjoyed the seaside and the Stade, visited the Aquarium and the Fishermen’s Museum, went up on Castle Hill and took a walk through the old part of the town.
On Monday morning we went to Tollesbury by bus and had a colourful and diverse programme at and around the lightvessel „Trinity“, which focussed on team-building, water- related activities, a number of challenges and the ecosystem of the marshlands. Very much appreciated and liked best by the students were kayaking, high ropes, climbing, powerboating and, of course, sailing.
Apart from „a great leap forward“ in improving their English language skills, everybody had the chance to investigate marine invertebrates alive, live with the tides in beautiful surroundings and nice autumn weather and was tempted and encouraged to try a variety of challenging activities, where they all had to rely on each other.
The last evening on „Trinity“ a „concert“ was performed and the school-trip to England ended with a stip-visit to London, where we had packed lunch on the lawn of „Queen Victoria Gardens“.
